Three years ago today, Gnome Decor was launched. To celebrate, a week of activities is planned, starting today and continuing through October 6!  The schedule below outlines all the events coming soon over the next several days. Bookmark this page and check back regularly as it will be updated each day with new information and links to posts and items as they become available.

Let’s get this party started! Keep on reading to check out all the fun activities going on this week, September 30 – October 6, to celebrate three years of Gnome Décor. I’m most excited about the introduction of limited edition gnome boxes to commemorate our third year. (More on that below!)

Thursday, October 1 – Sneak Peek Day

Head over to Gnome Décor’s Instagram on Thursday to to see a sneak preview on Instagram stories of Harvest Nights, the gnome boxes, and fall fairy gardens – all coming up this celebration week! All stories will be saved in the GD Turns 3! highlights section of the Gnome Decor Instagram profile in case they expire before you get a chance to view them.

Friday, October 2 – Harvest Nights

A new central Indiana event, Harvest Nights, starts Friday at Newfields. You’ll get a first look of what to expect here on the blog, from my visit Thursday night on Member Preview Day! I’ll be sharing lots of photos and a recap of my visit on Friday. Not in Indiana? There will still be lots of spooky sights and Halloween inspiration to feast your eyes on!  Read the post now!

Saturday, October 3 – World Card Making Day and Giveaway

World Card Making Day is October 3 this year and I’m giving away all my cards I made that day to celebrate it!  World Card Making Day is observed each year on the first Saturday in October.  It began in 2006 as a way to celebrate making your own greeting cards and takes place at the beginning of October to encourage card makers to get a jump on crafting for the holiday season.  Anyone else planning to celebrate World Card Making Day this weekend by making greeting cards or supporting small card businesses?

You can win a free set of three autumn cards I created on World Card Making Day. The cards are shown below and feature stamps and dies from The Greetery’s fall release.

You can enter up to six times for six chances to win:

Enter by 11:59 PM Eastern Tuesday, October 6.

A winner will be chosen at random from all entries and announced on this post and on Instagram and Facebook Wednesday.  Check back then as this post will be updated with the winner’s name! Below are the cards you’ll win!

UPDATE: We have a winner! Congratulations Katie Camden!! Thank you to everyone who entered the contest!

Tuesday, October 6 – Fall Fairy Garden Reveal & First Look of What’s Next for Gnome Decor

On Tuesday I’m sharing this year’s crop of three outdoor fall fairy garden themes I created, including two for Halloween. I started switching my fairy gardens from summer to fall on the first official day of fall, September 22, and as if on cue, all the leaves in my backyard started falling the day I finished them, September 24. Can you guess the specific themes I decided on for 2020? Hint: All of them are new ideas (and pretty specific) and none are very scary. I can’t wait for you to see them! Read the post here!

On Tuesday I’ll also let you know what’s coming up next for Gnome Decor once the birthday celebration week concludes.

UPDATE – COMING SOON TO GNOME DECOR!

This year I pressed dozens of flowers from my garden to save in a journal. I’ll show you a fast method I used to dry and preserve them, and the journal I’m saving them in. Watch for a blog post coming this fall. I’ll also be posting my final two fairy gardens of the summer that have not yet been revealed on the blog. And watch for more fall themed posts too!

As for the shop, Christmas is quickly approaching so I will be making Christmas cards, tags and other special items very soon to add to the shop! Check back for a Christmas shop release date. I will also have cards available for Thanksgiving.

Gnome Decor wouldn’t be any fun at all without each and every one of YOU.  I love hearing from all of you and read and appreciate every comment you leave on my blog, Instagram and Facebook.  Thank you for all your support and feedback these past three years. I appreciate all the posts you’ve read, messages you’ve sent, and handmade items you’ve purchased from the shop and via custom order.

Remember to bookmark this post as it will be updated over the next seven days with news, details, photos and links to new posts! And watch for daily updates on Facebook and Instagram too!

Wishing you a warm and comfy, healthy and safe fall at gnome this year!

Denise
